The Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education in Andorra (AQUA) attended today the Official opening ceremony of the 2026–2027 academic year and graduation ceremony of the Class of 2026 at the University of Andorra (UdA), held at the Claror Auditorium in Sant Julià de Lòria.
The event marked both the official opening of the 2026–2027 academic year and the graduation of the University of Andorra’s 2026 cohort.
The inaugural lecture was delivered by Professor Slim Khalbous, Rector of the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF), under the title“Diplomatie scientifique et Francophonie : quelle articulation ?”. During his address, he explored the growing strategic role of research, innovation and knowledge in international relations and highlighted the potential of the Francophone space as a platform for scientific cooperation and shared development.

During his speech, the Rector of the University of Andorra, Juli Minoves, underlined the importance of quality as a core element of accountability in higher education institutions and publicly acknowledged AQUA’s contribution over the past year.

The Rector also highlighted a significant milestone achieved during the past academic year: the formal definition and approval of the University’s first Internal Quality Assurance System (IQAS), aligned with the standards of the European Higher Education Area.
