The Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education of Andorra (AQUA) has published the self-assessment report that forms part of the external validation process regarding compliance with the principles set out in the Declaration of Good Practices of the Ibero-American System for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (SIACES).
This process began last March and aims to verify that AQUA’s activities and processes align with the values and quality criteria shared by the members of the network. The submitted document gathers evidence and reflections on governance, transparency, stakeholder participation, continuous improvement, and international cooperation, among other aspects.
SIACES is a cooperation network that brings together quality assurance and accreditation agencies and institutions from Ibero-American countries, to promote quality, comparability, and mutual recognition between higher education systems. AQUA has been a member since its establishment in 2019.
Among the main benefits that this external validation can provide are:
Strengthening of institutional credibility
- Increased visibility and international recognition
- Facilitation of academic mobility
- Enhancement of cooperation with other quality agencies
